AGAR and the VCA PASSPORT PROGRAM
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) is excited to partner with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to launch the Passport Program, an arts access initiative. This program provides free or discounted tickets to arts organizations across the Commonwealth, including museums, performances, classes, and special events that provide opportunities to engage with the arts ecosystem in Virginia, regardless of income.
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) card holders* are eligible for the Passport Program. Passport holders show their existing WIC cards, issued by VDH, to redeem the discount at participating arts organizations. No additional card required!

AGAR’s PARTICIPATION OVERVIEW
AGAR has been asked to be a part of the VCA Passport Program in its inaugural year beginning November 25, 2023. Tickets are half-price for those in the WIC Program. We think AGAR programs this season will be enjoyable for woman and children over 12; but not for infants or small children. Two AGAR programs in 2023-2024 are excluded from the PASSPORT offerings: The Belle of Amherst, which will have only 25 seats per performance, and "The Food of Love" by the Baltimore Consort, a program of early music on Shakespearean Themes, also with limited attendance.
AGAR Passport Tickets may be purchased two ways:
Online with a credit card through EVENTBRITE.COM. Each performance on AGAR’s HOME page will have a button link and posters will have a QR Code link to EVENTBRITE where specific performance details and an option to purchase half-price PASSPORT tickets may be found. An email ticket will be sent to you that you will present at the door with your WIC card.
At the door. Half-price PASSPORT tickets may be purchased for cash or check only with your WIC card at the door 30 minutes before each performance.
